Notice of Water Rate Increase Starting January 2024

          St. John’s Water Company, Inc. (SJWC) strives to keep the cost of water from increasing to the membership.  However, due to an increase in the cost of water we purchase from Charleston Water System, it is necessary for SJWC to increase its water rates 16 cents per 1,000 gallons of water used to cover the cost of the Charleston Water System increase.  The new rate will be effective with your January 2024 water usage, which will be reflected in the bill you receive at the end of January or early February 2024.  The minimum monthly bill for a standard ¾-inch water service will be $20.07 which includes up to 2,000 gallons of water usage.  All water usage over 2,000 gallons will increase $0.16 per 1,000 gallons.    A complete list of our water rates and fees based on various meter sizes is listed on this website under the customer service tab and then rates, fees, and policies.
